"Sell one candle, prove me wrong."

In 2020, a friend of mine and I were looking to start a business. We debated back and forth for weeks, tossing around ideas trying to figure out what we could build. When I suggested selling candles, he responded, "That's stupid. I bet you can't even make a candle." 

The conversation after that went something like this...

I decided to prove him wrong. In the few months following that conversation, I refined the business idea, located the right partners, made a few investments, and brought this operation online.
